Sponsorship

Sponsorship remains a key tool in the development of the Brit Insurance brand.
Our sports sponsorship focuses on cricket. In 2006, building on an existing deal, we announced the largest domestic cricket sponsorship in England of Surrey County Cricket Club and of its ground, the Brit Insurance Oval. This deal will take us through to 2010. Also in 2006, we became the Insurance Partner of the Test Match Grounds, allowing our regional offices to likewise benefit from the brand association and exposure and enjoy first class relationship-building opportunities at Trent Bridge, Headingley, Old Trafford, Durham Chester-le-Street and Edgbaston.
In May 2008 we entered a two-year broadcast deal with Sky Sports, becoming sponsors of their Test Match cricket (live, highlights and repeats) for 2008 and 2009, as well as the Cricket Writers on TV programme. This is our first broadcast sponsorship. It is an excellent reinforcement of our existing cricket sponsorships and will contribute significantly to building our brand among our key audiences.
Away from cricket, in January 2008 we announced a new four year sponsorship partnership with The Design Museum. The sponsorship creates a new set of annual international awards with supporting exhibition known respectively as The Brit Insurance Design Awards and The Brit Insurance Designs of the Year Exhibition.
Being the title sponsor of the inaugural awards and exhibition has allowed us to become closely associated from the beginning with a venture that will grow in profile over time and have an international reach. This sponsorship allows us to build our brand using an area which has real relevance to us since good design benefits insurance risk management. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
