Brit Insurance is a professional business with a modern and fun culture based around training, personal fulfilment and individual responsibility. We encourage innovation and inspired thinking, individual empowerment, openness and mutual respect. We are agile and flexible, so we can respond to the fast-changing environment around us. We operate from our head office in the City of London, from Lloyd’s of London and from underwriting centres across the major UK cities. We provide over 80 sub-classes of insurance, protecting businesses in the UK and around the world. Talented graduates are key to our success as we believe in them as rising stars and potential leaders of the future. We are looking to recruit bright, ambitious and enthusiastic individuals who demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism and initiative. To ensure that graduates are able to excel and realise their full potential, we offer graduate schemes that will stimulate, reward and motivate. Your Development During your first two weeks you will take part in a graduate induction, where you will develop the fundamental knowledge and skills that will act as a springboard for your career. You will also meet other graduates and form a team where you can bounce ideas off each other. During your two-year graduate programme you will have placements in a variety of business areas, providing you with a wealth of experience to learn about key activities, develop important business relationships and progress your career. At the end of each placement you will be given a performance review, where you can discuss your development and goals for the future. We will also give you all the support you will need to achieve a professional qualification. This will usually be the Advanced Diploma in Insurance, but of course this will depend on which business area you choose. While working towards your professional qualification you will also significantly learn from your fellow colleagues and line managers. In addition to this, you will be an active participant in the Group’s training programme where you will improve your skills in negotiation, presentation and communication, to name just a few! Your MentorTo enhance your personal development during the programme you will be assigned a mentor from another area of the business who will be available to provide guidance and assistance on any aspect of your career and development. Workshops and regular mentor meetings will be provided to ensure you get the most from your mentoring relationship. |
